The writing workshop was part of a module which focused on developing literacy in young children. Its emphasis was on encouraging children to learn to read and write through various cues and to have fun while doing it, without stressing out about the spelling of the words.

My team and I created this unit plan to help a class of Kindergarten 1 children gain an appreciation and better understanding of animals. Our activities aimed to have children use their five senses, simple tools, or technology to explore the world they live in.
